In the interest of full disclosure in addition to my Rocket III, I also currently own a 76 Harley Sportster, and a Harley based 127 cubic inch (2200 cc) prostreet bike that I built. I also own an 82 Honda CBX restomod (that I built), a 74 Kawasaki H2R (I built), and a 72 Kawasaki H2 (I restored). I also USED to own a 76 Suzuki GT750, a 74 Yamaha 250 trials bike, a Kawasaki KLX300, a Yamaha AT125 (when I was a kid), a CB750, a different 76 Sportster, a new Honda Valkyrie, a new Harley Street Bob, a custom chopper I built, an 84 Kawasaki 750 turbo, a 1999 Kawasaki ZRX, and many, many others. I don't discriminate and I'm not brand loyal. I just like what I like.

Well I'm currently torn between an r3t and a HD Electra Glide. I had the chance to ride an '05 Rocket and it was everything I was expecting it to be. Then a guy at work let me ride his 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Classic and it was nothing like I expected; it blew me away. It was much smoother than my Low Rider, was a little bit quicker than mine and I really liked the fairing. It was a chilly morning, around 62° and I had a short sleeve work shirt on. The difference that fairing made really surprised me. Add the creature comforts (radio, cruise control) and it really got me thinking. We really hope to do more touring next year, and I think the HD might be the better option.

I wish Triumph would make a bike like that on the rocket platform, then my decision would be obvious.....

If you get the R3T then there are options out there for a full front fairing, so you may want to look at those options as well.

On paper my prostreet bike should be faster than the Rocket. The Rocket feels faster to me but it isn't always about speed. The prostreet looks cool but handles for sh!t. I don't know about you guys but I don't drive around at WOT anyways. lol. I like different bikes for what they are. If I'm riding 2 up there's only one choice, the Rocket. If I'm riding far, or just want a smooth enjoyable ride, again the Rocket. It's my daily rider and all around go to bike. If I just want to go for a blast around town, maybe the Sportster or Prostreet. Least favorite rider but still fun, H2R replica. Favorite rider, the CBX. Looks great, stops and handles great, smooth as butter and sounds like a Ferrari. Just a blast all the way around. Smile every time.

Sigh....I still need to win the lottery

Yeah and I like the Corbin fairing, but it lacks any stereo provisions from what I can see and isn't cheap for sure. I'm still very torn, which is why I decided not to sell my current bike this year. I don't know what I wanna do, so not gonna do anything til I think it thru.
