I'm going to have to admit I blatantly copied your set up . I even got a set of rear dresser bars (thanks again @instant !). It took me awhile to figure out that you modified the mounts to get them to look right. I did the same thing. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. Did your bags stay dry inside in the rain ?

Mostly dry, but a little weepage around the hinge at the front. It never made it inside the bags.

I have a roll of thin adhesive backed rubber from the automotive industry. I've been putting it on everywhere bolts go through. I'll see if that helps.
