The EPA pretty much ran all the chrome places around me out of business. Chroming is $$$. If I don't like the lights, there is a company that makes a scuff guard that is made to cover up previous damage.

I think I paid around $200.00 for the crash bars. I doubt I could get them rechromed for that much.

I see there are a few places in the area. The one that I, and everyone I know used, closed about 10 years ago. I had some parts rechromed for my Kawasaki H1 there. They did good work but $$$

I agree, last winter I had the bear claw and the two rear fender cowling and one of the small pieces on the exhaust re-chromed..$600. Not cheap

Serious though why not at least see what the quote would be. I'm not negative aboit black if you look at Paul Bryant's bike you'll see some nice black chrome. Might look good if you using black tins. You can still use the light eitherway. Just a thought. Oh and it didn't hurt

Personally I never liked crash bars until I hit the asphalt in Canada. If it weren't for them I might not be walking now.
