I had a full grown deer run out in front of me and my X5 two weeks ago today, brother. $8K in front end (mostly cosmetic ) damage. Thanks for adding some levity to the salt in my open wound, Scott!

I was in the same place 2 years ago. $5000 in cosmetic damage to my truck, that the insurance covered. It also had busted the intercooler for the turbo. Turbo burned up, and blew oil into the exhaust, plugging off the catalytic converter, and DPF filter. The insurance company wouldn't cover it, and the dealership wanted $19,000 to fix it. I gutted the exhaust, and bought a $58 rebuild kit for the turbo. Been running good ever since.

Here in WV the more Deer hit on the road the more the insurance company's lobby the politicians for a higher deer kill in each county, during hunting season. Right now its up to 6 with gun, bow, black powder. Had a brother in law, who hit 9 in 3 years, at hunting camp we told him forget the rifle, bring the Subaru.
