I didn't take me long to leave it on a pump somewhere. I didnt even realize i had done it for 4 days! Local Triumph dealer was of no help. They said they could sell me a lock kit which replaces all keys and the cap and the seat lock so they all match. It's only $700 bucks! I pulled out my calipers, measured the hole, and I'm going to try a pop up cap from Amazon. Screenshot_20240810_204818_Amazon Shopping.jpg

Should work like a champ! You might end up cutting the threads in half.

I replaced the cap on my Bobber cuz it only has a 9L tank and I hate fiddling with keys to put gas in (ever couple hours). I Installed a Monza style cap so i just push a release button, viola, filler neck. My Speed Triple uses an electronic cap, the ignition switch power has to be on to open the gas cap, that's crazy. Either way I'm not losing the caps as they are hinged. My old Rocket III was hinged too.

I saw this one on Ebay and I'm watching it. What intrigues me the most about it is the fact that we already have a monza style lid. It wouldn't be hard to make a screw in adapter with a flanged surface and new lid with a seal in it to make ours a true monza cap too. I wish I would have become an engineer! Lol

You can just mount an after market one. Lid is smaller but it's not fake:
