Hello Django and welcome from Virginia. I hope you have that screw sorted by now. I need to get a new bolt for the back side of the seat as I just found mine is stripped out now from its last time in the shop.

The seat is removed using the key on the back sid of the righthand side cover. Just insert key in key lock , twist and pop oges the seat.

Thanks for the info!!
Motorbike went back to the garage. In the end it was a problem with the electrical cabling.
Back on the road!

Hallo,
I'm Manfred from germany, riding a TR3 since march 2015, mostly together with my wife as pillion rider.
Before riding the TR3, I was riding a BMW R1200 R.
I began motorcycling in 1974 with a BMW R27 (250 cc).
I am still working and only have time for riding about 5000 km a year. I'm also member of the german Triumph Rocket Riders Club.
May be I'll get to know some TR3 interesting enthusiasts at this forum.

Regards
maniundani

Hallo Mani, Welcome from East Texas

Wilkommen, Manfred! I'm certain that you are already aware of what an awesome machine we ride and that is a great library of knowledge, information and experience available to you from our members here. Therefore, I will provide you with a very minor correction; The proper English language abbreviation for your Rocket III model is R3T, as the TR designation for Triumph motorcycles refer to a different model series.
