Weird clicking sound once the engine gets hot - VIDEO uploaded

no its definitely not heat shield, its something coming from top of engine near head or something,
I dont rev hard, i ride mid range 4K RPM and once its get hot then I start hearing it,

it was not happening when bike was new like 6K miles or 10K miles, it developed gradually over time for sure.
By the rev question we (@Nashvegas, initially) meant when you hear it at idle what happens if you give it a little throttle? Speed up? Go Away?

Lots of other good ideas since then, like the stethoscope or vacuum hose to pinpoint the location of the sound and checking for exhaust leak. If that's bad enough you'll notice more popping on decel.

At least in my case it goes away after giving some
gas from idle. As I shift down (sometimes coasting in neutral) and approach a light as the RPM’s come down I’ll hear it start ticking and get louder as I approach the stop.

What oil is in it now? And how long has it been in there? What are the temps where you live. Triumph build quality is good if product is taken of and not put up cold and wet if you know what i mean. I agree with exhaust leak as stated above.

oil pressure drops significantly at idle, it is only 12 to 18 psi at oil sensor at idle.

Mine rattles bad at first idle. It takes a good minute or two for the oil pressure to come up. I always sit there and listen to it to know when to ride off. Not yet, it's still rattling.

I think that it is the valve adjustment a tad loose but that is good
my 07 did that for about 10000 miles then went away as the valve seats wore in a bit have 60,000 plus and never adjusted the valves.

I am using motul 300v oil exact same weight as written in manual fully synthetic 15W/50
Last oil changed - last 11 months, ridden 5K miles since last oil change

Exhaust headers have been taken out few times but they have been torqued back properly, perhaps its the werkes + header joint loose?
I will look into exhaust theory.

wish I could remove exhaust while its hot to rule out that its coming from exhaust, and I cant remove it while its cold, as it takes quite a bit of time to get that noise and make the engine half way through hot guage.

Motul states that 300v is a race oil and normal service intervals may not be appropriate. Thats why motul does not have a change interval listed. At 5k id bet the viscosity is low. An oil analysis would tell you this. Motul 300v is great oil and i like it, but 5k is probably too much for the oil shearing monster we captain. Just my opinion, not looking for a fight over oil and how long between changes.
