I went to my local Triumph dealership to get some washers for my 1st oil change. They only carry 1 size of washer (part # T3550605 - sump bolt washer). I was under the impression that there are a total of 3 bolts that must be removed for the oil change - 1 of which is a different size than the other 2. Should there not be 2 different size washers or will 1 washer size fit all 3 bolts? Wanted to find out before I start the actual change.

Also, has anyone tried the K & N - KN-204 oil filter? Thanks!

There are 2 different size crush washers and an o ring that you need. I am surprised your dealer did not know that. You need a total of 3 washers. And yes you NEED them.

I knew something was wrong. Unbelievable. The other washer is part # T3550123 and is called the sealing washer. Could it be that they just use 1 size washer for every oil change they do?!?! Wow.

Does the O-ring not come with whatever oil filter you buy or do you have to buy it separately?

Glad I asked and thanks for the response!

The o ring you need actually goes on the main drain plug. It is half way up the middle of the main drain plug bolt. You can not see it till you remove it. I think I paid all of 5 dollars for all of these at my dealer and he had them in stock and knew exactly what I needed.

Try talking to the people who actually do the service, not just the parts guy. Maybe they can help the parts guy get his act together.

Here are the part numbers you need.

94109-14000 Washer drain plug 14mm You need 2
T3550123 Washer sealing 24.0x16.3x2.0 You need 1
T3600104 O-Ring, ID 12.1x1.6 You need 1

You just saved me a whole lot of heartache and anguish. God I love this forum. Ordering the 2nd size washer and O-ring from bike bandit.com. Also going to order an extra final drive magnetic drain bolt while I'm at it - just in case.

Washer Drain Plug?

 Was just on the blower with my Triumph Dealer - says the 941009-14000 is not a Triumph Part# ? Thanks!

:)

u do noy need to change the washer with every oil change if they look good i have gone with 3 oil changes without changing

I have never changed mine, after 9+ oil changes. I always intend to get the washers, but end up draining the oil and then remembering I should have gotten them. So I just go with the old ones and hope for the best.

My understanding was that the washer drain plug or sump bolt washer Triumph part # was T3550605. Either way - pretty sure I'm on the right track now. Ordered 3 oil changes worth so good for a while.

Has anyone tried finding washers at the local hardware store that do the trick? The Triumph markup on these must be 10,000%.
