Want different mirrors...What are you using?

I miss the setup I had on my road glide. I had 17" Paugcho narrow bars and harley double mirrors (2 mirrors at different angles) I ran them opposite (facing in). It looked a little funky but the benefit was I didn't have to move my head at all to see behind me. That extra reaction time came in handy a few times. This is one of the reason I want taller bars so I can find a way to replicate the mirrors again the way I had them before.

Uhmmm, in the link you provided, and from which I purchased, the description includes this:

"Convex mirrored glass measures 3in. x 5.5in."

And mine came with that usual warning, "Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear."

Similar to @R3Tex, I use the Rivco LEDs.
I have used these for over four years and 40,000 miles with NO issues - they even survived my crash in Aug 14.
They illuminate to the rear ans well as forward and are BRIGHT!
NOT cheap, but you do get what you pay for with these mirrors!

@Joesmoe
Thanks for setting me straight on that.
I see no fish-eye or huge reduction in size.
I always look to rear as well, so I thought it was not convex.
My bad!
Apologies to anyone I may have misled.

Too be sure, the convex index is low low, so one hopes RIVCO captured the happy medium between small and unobtrusive, and enough visual area to be useful/safe.

As you say, it is barely noticeable.

How are the mirrors themselves? Are they convex mirrors? Do they improve your visual?

sorry for the late reply, been a little busy, yes they are excellent mirrors, not convex just flat afaik but offer a nice wide field of view due to the shape.
they don't make things look farther nor closer than they are either.

they actually correct a slight vision issue i have, im slightly shortsighted but i can read things clearer in the Kiwav mirrors than i can straight up. true story

OEM Mickey Mouse for me. Tried others and kept finding niggles. Found in the past I prefer round ones.
Have toyed with making some bar-end convex "blind spot" mirrors as supplements.
Need to have a chat with my mate Don at Oberon in the UK.

I use these on my old Guzzi

Mine are black and the "illegal" 60mm size.

They do other bar end types. Oberon Mirrors for Motorcycles, Bar End and Handlebar Clamp

These were on the bike when I bought it. At first I thought I would change them but they have grown on me. I am not sure what they are called.

I had the bike shop change those red levers to standard!

Kuryakyn Magnum, large head variant, stock length stems (my R3 Touring has very wide bars, don't need the extension of the mickey mouse crapfest mirrors that are stock). Tried flat glass thinking I'd see better - vibration and minimal field of view... Oh well. Bought new heads separately with convex glass, and we're talking near perfection. The large mirrors look right at home om the Touring.

I can also highly recommend the adapters any Harley-style mirrors need from newbonneville.com. Worked perfectly and the mirrors are rock solid on there.
