Unusual clutch problem

My advice...stick with the recommended..

Castrol POWER 1 4T 10W-50 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil

You may have to change your oil again after a short time to resolve the issue unless you are willing to pull and check the clutch for the extra anti-jutter ring as mention. Always do the simplest thing first.
Hmm . . . my concern with using synthetic from the very beginning is that it does not allow for a good break in. won't synthetic oil PREVENT a smooth gear face and internal parts break in? I have always thought to use a synthetic after a good break in.

Use the manufacturer's recommended oil, or oil of the same specifications, or you will have problems - especially with the wet clutch

First 500 miles on semisynthetic for break in. The full synthetic after that. Now there have been some fellers that have noticed things like easier shifting when using mobile 1 (original rocket oil) verses Castrol. Not kicking Castrol as I use neither.

Clutch should be 2 to 3 mm free play once the lifterpiece is seated in the pressure plate bearing. If not after a little bit of use it will move in and you'll have too much free play. Also yours it right around the time frame when triumph changed or actually updated the lifter piece design. So I'm not sure which one you have but adjustment is the same with either one.

As for the multiple anti judder springs as shown above. Well its happened once it can happen again although if you playing the odds many more rockest were assemble with only one anti judder spring then the ones that got two. Or there is only one person willing to admit they had two :D

Is that picture of just the one ring installed?
The pic. is a little out of focus...from the flat ring on the left, then 2 anti-judder rings( 45 degree angle). consulted warp, took his advise, only put 1 in on reassembly,as per the manual also, I had assumed that the clutch was just Grabby before...turns out I firmly felt that extra ring caused the grabby clutch. When that $4.00 spring broke I was pissed, but getting a butter smooth clutch out of the deal.....Priceless

Thanks. I rode it this afternoon on a short ride and it happened 50% of the time. Always on takeoff at low to mid rpm.

If you balk at using Castrol, Mobil 1 has been my go to since the first oil change. It seemed to make the transmission shift a little smoother than the Castrol but that may have been wishful thinking.

I myself prefer Amsoil 15-50 full synthetic. This is the one that I found to improves the shifting. Up & down. It's trial and error for the different qwerqiness of different machine.
