Unknown part found under the seat

I found this under the seat when I removed the battery six months ago. Today I put the battery back but I have no idea where this piece goes to. Please try to find it on your bike and take some picture of the position. Thank you in advance.

I've not seen that before, wonder if it's a Storm specific piece?

Just a thought, was that the first time you'd removed the seat? and this piece was there? Just wondering if it is a cover for something that's been installed on the bike & left behind from the dealers?

No, I removed the seat several times before that. And just one day before I removed the battery it was at the dealership for service. So it is quite possible that they dropped this in by accident.

It goes in front of the flip down access panel under the seat. I was looking at mine today when mocking up some luggage straps and it made me think of this post. And no, I didn't take a picture. Sorry.

@509GT , do you mean in front of the USB charging compartment? I stared there for 10 minutes again and couldn’t find any place where this could fit. Please resolve this mistery by making a photo. Thank you in advance.
