I've reviewed a few of the clips Pete filmed from the back of my bike. I've found the one where "the Hand Of Pete" caught my CF tank cover panel after it flew off while doing 75mph down a Welsh B road. You can't see him actually catch it because he was filming with his left hand when his right caught it, but his reaction is priceless.
For those who weren't there; I had one of the panels from my tank cover repainted by Chris after some damage. Chris did a cracking job as usual and managed to get it back to me in time for the Wirral Custom Show.
In the rush to get it back on I didn't prep the tank properly before sticking it back on and it peeled off while storming across Wales. Pete was filming on the left of the bike and looked down the right side to see what kind of shot he could get from there. He noticed the panel was coming away and dug me in the ribs to let me know, but before I could look down it flew off and Pete grabbed it with his right as it flew past him. I looked down to see the panel missing as my heat sank realising one of the guys behind could have run over it and punctured their tyres. As I slowed to turn around and survey the resultant devastation Pete waved the panel over my shoulder. I've rarely been more relieved.
