Don't listen to those guys that say car tire is a last resort. Go for a car tire.... I did 20,000Kms ago and its the best move I ever made..

A car tire is like having sex with a man you can get used to it but it does not make it right nor the best. :D (oops did I say that) Anyway that being said good luck finding a replacement. you might find a bridgestone at a suzuki dealer.

Not only the blowout danger but a Rocket weighs about 25,000 pounds when a tire is flat. I thought I was a pretty strong ol boy until I tried pushing mine with a flat rear tire.

That's also about how heavy they feel after the tyre pops and you're trying to bring the bike to a controlled stop.

A Car Tyre!?!?!? There's me thinking that tyre developers spend gazillions of pounds, dollars, Yen and Euro's on bike tyre development and they could have come onto this forum for some informed wisdom.

As alluded to by Warp, for some people if it's roughly the same shape it must be the same even though it was designed for something else. ;) You get much better than informed wisdom on here when it comes to car tyres. You get opinions!

I've done heaps of k's when down to the steel .. when travelling , not ideal but it happens. I've never had a blow-out .. touch wood. Only problem is the double demerit points here over Easter. Only 160 klms .. me I'd take my chances mate.

What TC says, but I sure as hell would be being careful, and also not drawing any (police) attention with .....

Dam! Never heard of a rider being cited for a lousy bald tire before!
