Just read the manual, everything is in there.

It's not really the same. A manual normally contains a lot of text explaining things one's not really interested in, pretty "heavy" to read through when trying to complete one specific task and you're not really sure what you are looking for. This applies to almost any manual regardless of what it is for.

A guide is a lot easier to follow and would be for 2.5l rockets specifically.

I dont mean anyone's obligated to do this im just saying that, atleast I, would think it would be very nice to have.

for anyone who has done this, i have the Android Tune ECU, The OBDlink software, and MX+ unit, firmware is updated, i can get the bike to connect to tune ECU and it identifies it, i can open the new map, but i have a couple of questions before i do this,
- Is it possible to somehow read the map in the bike and save it, i see the option to read the map in the bike, but it is greyed out?
- When you did this, did it affect the custom settings, like TCS turned off and such?
- when i power on the bike, it does it's cycle through, and i get the buzzing at startup which i assume is the fuel pump priming, and it doesn't stop, i'm almost positive it used to come on briefly and then stop, or i am possibly loosing my mind, in which case, it's a fun trip

Per the manual, you can't read current map and save it, maybe someday, the buzzing might stop if you open fuel cap and then close it.
The reprogramming will take about 20 min so make sure you have fuse #2 pulled, Headlight. and a charger connected to battery, it may not work first time, you might get an error message, "download failed" then you have to do a recovery which takes about 60 min, then reprogram again. once I finally got my new TFC map to program it did not affect Cruse Control or TPMS, I think the correct units and time were also unchanged. Thanks to Dougl and Penner for their assistance, they kept me from losing my mind.
Good luck

Did you look at it? It tells you what hardware to buy. Don’t go for cheap junk. There’s nothing special about using Tuneecu with Bluetooth on the Rocket versus other models. If you know what tune you want to load, it’s pretty straightforward.

You can’t read the maps from the ecu for any bikes requiring the Bluetooth connection. Have no idea what the technical constraint is.

just ordered the lx
does it work on the older rockets?
have u tried using it on cars?

I’ve read that the MX+ is for cars but OBDLink would know better. The manual shows that reading and writing for the older Rockets is by USB cable only but that you can get diagnostics with BT.
