speedo correction

finally got up the courage to try it and pleased with the result much smoother bike now but I was wondering as I could not find info for correcting speedo. Speedo reads 100 kmh GPS tells me I'm doing 97 kmh ( I am running a Darkside which corrected it from 93kmh) now I would like to correct the last 3 kmh do I make a 0.3% or 3.0% is that a - or + adjustment sorry but could not find relevent info anywhere:confused:

speedo correction

Hi "hanso" at 3Kph error at 100Kph you need at correction factor of 3%, as you speedo is reading low it needs to be - 3%. Then try it again with GPS.

Cheers for that Captain Jack,
Thank you that was what I thought but didn't want to be friggin around and have to reload the tune each time. I took the bike for a run and according to the GPS it's less than 1/2 km/h out, that'll do me
Cheers a Thanks Again
Hans

from hex file to dat file Tunes

Is there an answer on the question from Tdragger to convert the dat Files for use into TuneECU which files have the extension.hex?

I am going to put Jardine on my R3T, have triple Filters, opened and removed the secondairies.
Probably I need a new Tune which is available in .dat ( thanks to Wayne) but needs conversion for use in the Freeware program TuneECU.

There are 2 hex tunes on the TuneECU web site for this setup

20145Map Jardine k triple filter.hex

20222MapJardineDecel.hex

If you have taken out the secondaries, you must have a tune loaded with the 2ndaries open 100% in all gears. Both of these tunes have this. However, if you're able to load a tune with TuneECU (for free with a cable), you don't need to remove the secondaries to open them.

The 20222MapJardine tune is richer at the high end in the main F fuel tables and also at the low end in the L tables, probably to improve decel popping.

Both tunes have the O2 sensor box unchecked which you need to try to fix the decel popping issue.

Your best bet is to go to a dyno shop and have it tested for power and A/F with both of these tunes. If either gives good, smooth power with good smooth A/F (e.g. 13.1), use it.

If necessary, have them install a PCIII and tune it.

For those that have debated about purchasing TuneBoy, your day has come.

There is freeware available that is a close copy to TuneBoy, and operates on all Triumph triples.

Modified tunes are being compiled and will soon be available for the R3.

I tried to access TuneECU through windows live and it say's it's no longer available.
What's up with that?
