TuneECU, ECU on Roadster is not responding anymore

Glad to hear you got it back alive! :)

I've had similar thoughts about renaming the modified stock tune. As I tried to download
the modified 20352Map.hex to ECU, I used the original name. Could it be so that ECU doesn't accept tune, in my case 20352Map.hex, which actually isn't 20352Map.hex?

I renamed my modified 20352Map.hex to 20353Map.hex but haven't had the balls to try to download it yet :D

yeah, but that is just a new name for the file itself, not for the tune, right?

Tuneedit got this option under "Edit-Edit Notes" for a tune. TuneECU does not.

I recieved an email from Alain asking me to try again using ver 1.6.4 which implies that my ecu problem might have been addressed. We'll see next time I have garage time.

seems to be ok now. I extracted the 20355 map from the Roadster again just to be sure I had a fresh one.
changed to 260km top speed and 100% secondaries on all gear, all rpm.

downloaded to bike and ECU was fine afterwards!

will get back after test drive. I am in the process of mounting triple JR filters right now.

since ECU is respondig it's a giant leap forward.

I will also upload new 20355 if it differs from the one extracted with earlier version of tuneECU.

wow :D

That is a good step forward. Alain is a really cool guy.:bch:

I've been on a testdrive now. all fine.
topspeed removed so I tested up to 220 km.
3 new JR filters installed as well which gave good performance boost along with
the secondaries now being open all the time.

attached is the map with these adjustments. 260 top speed. 100% secondaries. TORS Roadster silencers.

Encouraged by Leif's successful second experiment I made one, too.

I read map from ECU again with the latest version (1.6.4) of TuneECU, made same modifications as Leif did (260km top speed and 100% secondaries on all gear, all rpm) and downloaded (even upload would be a more appropriate term in my opinion) the modified map back to ECU and then reset TPS.

This time everything went fine! No problems whatsoever!

Thanks Tom & Alan! Keep up the good work!

Mika

At this point, is there any advantage from using TuneECU over TuneEdit, since I have the latter? I'm always up for trying something new.
