Apparently we are still about 2 weeks away as Wayne is waiting on circuit boards so that it can use USB instead of a serial cable. Sorry for you impatient guys but it is still snow season here for a while yet.......so no worries

If he is waiting for the circuit boards from Triumph he might wanna grab a pillow and a snack........ they arent really big on others modifying their stuff and will be in no hurry to send it his way.........

No, the circuit boards are more than likely for the interface circuit to go from the diagnostic connector on the Rocket to your USB serial port on your laptop. This makes sense because most new laptops do not have the RS232 port that the old cable uses.

Just the fact that he has downloaded code to a real bike is great news and the real thing should be here soon.

Yes, the circuit board I am waiting for is one I have designed to connect between the diagnostic connector and the USB port on the PC.
This is for the bikes with the Keihin ECU. The current TuneBoy cable will work but the download speed will be slower. Because of this I think the new cable is worth waiting for.
The extra two weeks also gives me more time to do some tests and find more maps and settings in the ECU.
I also want to run a bike on the dyno with the first gear ignition map and secondary butterfly settings for every gear.
By doing this we can do a run in fourth gear and get an idea of just how much the power is restricted.

Do you simply fit the control box onto your bikes electronics system wiring and then download a better tune from the site , or do you have to go to a dyno rolling road to have set up . :?:

The great thing about the Rocket III is that Triumph make it slower than it should be.
With something like the Daytona the remapping process will give you more power, but as Triumph have attempted to get the mapping right and have only cut back where they have to for emission rules, the gains are harder to come by.
The Rocket III on the other hand has had a bunch of power taken away in the first three gears.
This means it is easy to get that power back by just doing a copy and paste of the top gear ignition map over the first and second gear maps, and setting the secondary butterflies so they open fully all the time.
Sure, more can be had with fine tuning, but we know that the first download that Rocket III owners do with TuneBoy will improve the bike in a very noticeable way.
I will make sure that the CD has a copy of all the maps with this power restriction removed. This means all you need to do is pop off the seat, plug the cable in and click the download button, wait 20 seconds for the download to complete and you are done. Nice and simple.
I hope to do some mapping for the K&N pod modification and free flowing exhaust as it would be nice to offer a map that is a good starting point for these modifications.
This software can do things that a PCIII just can't do.
