Tunes for Roadster, open secs, ignition adjusted, mimics GI Pro

Gents,
attached is a Roadster tune with the following characteristics.
* OEM adjusted for Roadster TORS, which means based on map 20355.
* fully open secondaries on all gears, all rpm
* Ignition tables copied to be the same on all gears, copied from I4 to I3 and I2 which means same ignition retardation on all gears.
* Top speed adjusted to 260 km/h - 162 mph

nothing advanced is altered, nothing that requires a dyno or deeper knowledge.
secondaries are just written to be 100% in the entire matrix
ignition is just copied from I4 to I3 and I2, not edited in any way.

this tune runs on my bike, no problems. using TuneECU 1.6.6.

even though one of our pour Roadster fellows has problems right now the program works, but we are all thinking of him and trying to help him. do not be alarmed though, but if it is the first time, try to download a tune with very few changes just to be sure everything is in place regarding cable, drivers and such.

after you have downloaded the tune, Reset TPS as the TuneECU manual describes.
after that, do the 12 minute tune. after that, the TSP light will be green in TuneECU and all is well.

this tune does exactly the same thing that the GIPro ATRE does for the cost of a cable and 15 minutes at the keyboard

have fun!

attached in this post is the same changes as the tune in the first post, but for
stock 20352 tune which means original exhaust with cat.

the tune I changed I took from Tom Hamburgs collection. It is not extracted from my Roadster since I run 20355 tune (TORS).

Exhaust Glow

Greetings,
I finally got to try out this map (20355Map-2) in my Roadster; it seemed to really make a difference, at least on the “butt” dyno. I have one question though, I road at night and my exhaust was glowing exceptionally bright, I would say at least twice as bright as the original map. I discovered that I had map 20352 still loaded into the ECU, even though it was indicated that I had a remap when I had the TORS installed at the dealer. I think I will try 20355 with the only change being the secondary’s, and see if it changes anything.
Regards,
Chris

I am glad you like the tune.
however, I would like to redo it soon, since the newer versions of tuneECU contain changes in the interpretation of ignition tables.

may be something that can be better, so I will redo them. simple copy-paste so all the ignition tables, except for the one for neutral, are the same.

hello thanks for the reply regarding the dowload but i can,t open the attachments can any one help

Are you opening it with tune ecu? That is the only program that will open this type of hex file do not let the adobe symbol fool you.
I opened it fine and the only thing I seen right off that I would change is the rev limit. It is only set at 6300 but will go to 7000.

Hi,

The files in the database of TuneECU_Start are zip files.
These must first be extracted, for example with "7zip"
The unzipped file (eg 20352.hex) you can only open from TuneECU out.

How to:

1. download the Zip file from the database
2. Extract with e.g. 7zip or similar tool
3. TuneECU start
4. Please click on the File menu then click on "open map file" and choose for example the 20352.hex

I hope it will help.

BR, Tom

As I said in #37 of http://www.r3owners.net/tuneecu-source/8846-how-do-you-know-whats-good-4.html
TuneEcu mimics perfectly GiPro ! The only usefull fonction of GiPro is to show the number of the gear you are in ! Every other fonctions df GiPro can be done easily by Tune Ecu ! But anaybody can spoil his own money following his own pleasures ! :D In this case you can find cheaper systems for the display only (see german ones for exemple !)
