Triumph management needs to wake up

I would think any motorcycle brand that the technology changes on very quickly would be hard to keep up with unless the mechanics went to school regularly. Most of the high tech bikes don't ever get overhauled just finally replaced. The electronics and the add ons are probably the most problematic. Most younger guys understand the computer parts of their bikes at least enough to read a tool that plugs in and tells them whats up. I'm an old guy and of course know some other old guys and as a whole we are out of touch with new technology. I started to lose it when they replaced my kickstarter with an electric one. I recognize the smoothness, power, better brakes with the new stuff but need a dealer or someone besides me to work on it. I've built many Harleys and can do anything on the V8 bikes so I'm not just mechanically challenged but I am obsolete. Here is a picture of my car we took yesterday on a trip. This has the kind of technology that is no problem for me.

HEY thats a great shot of you and your cool car I love it very nice

Dave is your Buick a 1937/1938 , the centre over rider looks great, but I have only seen them on the 1939 Buick special out here and both models are rare in OZ ,love the patina look, a restoration would spoil it in my opinion

It is a 1938 BUICK SPECIAL. It was bone stock when I found it. It only had 18000 miles on it at that time and still had the original tires. I added an early BORG WARNER overdrive to it from the late thirties or early forties. It now has about 23000 miles on it and is unrestored. It cruises along at 65 or 70 mph all day long, has its original radio which works and even the clock still works.

Awesome car Dave, beautiful score that one.

Back to the dealer issue; My local dealer Motorcycles of Dulles (MOD) has been very good to me since I got Brahma from them. I know my visit in Jan and the one a few weeks ago was less than their normal service, but I believe I have that one fixed now with simple communications. They are back in good favor anyway. @Joesmoe is not as enamored with them as I am but we all have a different situation. I am happy that they did set up shop as they are still closer to me than the two over in Maryland or the one down in Richmond. Distance to a repair shop is important and the reason I dropped Indian off my list two years ago when I bought Brahma, the closest dealer for them was four hours away.
