Triumph management needs to wake up

There was a great dealer about an hour from me but they closed. I purchased my Polaris and KTM parts there. They sold Triumph, KTM. Arctic Cat, Polaris, & Victory. Great parts & service departments. Now I have to go south to a Suzuki / Triumph used car dealer that has nothing in stock and I think the service guy knows as much about bikes as I know about physical cosmology. My Kawasaki / KTM dealer is # 1 in my book, but not a Trumpet dealer. The mechanic is a little older than me and is very knowledgeable about Triumphs but not the Rocket. So to summarize; there is a problem with Triumph's dealer network. I thoroughly agree with Trapper, Triumph management needs to wake up to the needs of its USA customer base.

On another management note, their marketing is awful. They could be selling a lot more bikes with a better marketing approach and campaign.

We have FREEDOM CYCLE here in Las Vegas and they also have another FREEDOM CYCLE in Reno Nv. They are a good dealer and have excellent mechanics. They charge a lot per hour service rate but I guess all the dealers do today, at least the mechanic is knowledgable and thorough. He takes pride in his work. They have been a TRIUMPH dealer for many years. In Southern Cal we also have some real good dealers so here in the southwest we are lucky.

I totally agree and just think of what could happen to the after market stuff if they just increased there sales by even 20%. Not many of those aftermarket guys are willing to put up the bucks to build exhaust systems and all the other stuff with such a limited market and not much hope of it getting bigger.

Do they send the mechanics to Triumph schools every so often any more? They did when the first Hinkley Triumphs were being sold.

Absolute BS how can you honestly say all dealers are sore points, was your one a sore point? D&D triumph close by me are an outstanding dealership as are many more it is sad that you only hear about the bad apples and never the good ones.
NO BS
I hear complaints about every make of dealership its not just TRIUMPH there is always someone complaining about their local dealer regard less of the make of bike so its a matter of trying to make every customer happy and thats impossible some are dickheads I try and find a dealer that truly tries to do the best they can and has the best intentions TRIUMPH PHIL can tell you about some tricky TRIUMPH dealers

I still consider myself lucky, the local shop I was referring to still has everything they need to work on my Rocket, and so I have great mechanical help on tap a 10-minute ride from home. In fact, about to make an appointment to put mine on their dyno to see how well it all works with the Ramair and such. However, Triumph basically made it impossible for me to buy anything new they come up with, or at least a giant hassle every time I need service would make me a lot less likely to remain brand loyal.

HEY thats great to have such a good shop in your area it makes owning the bike more enjoyable

I agree with most of the complaints about Motorcycle Dealerships and their workshops ,the things I cannot do myself I take to a small owner operated non brand specific motorcycle Serviceing/repairer and Dyno tuner and have complete faith in his work,
