When I got my R3 about 16 months ago I hadnt been on bikes much for a couple of decades.
So when I started going on rides with other guys,mainly harley owners,I was always eating their dust and I think some of them thought my R3 was a big old,slow slug of a machine.
Well,Im a lot more confident these days and I have a mental list of those who use do the racing take offs after trying to get me to race them.
Most of them are completely blown away and give up by the time they have crossed the lights.
Especially the guy who spent almost the price of his bike on screamin eagle performace parts LOL

The comfort and the fuel range are icing on top of the cake. Some of the HD owners look like they got spina bifida after a 2 hour ride with no stops

To many years on h-d's not to want to hear my motor.
Went riding with a couple of guys yesterday morning for about 8 hours.
They were on h-d's naturally.
I always ride tail gunner till I get tired of putting along at 60, 70, 80.
Mine wants to breath so I open er up and fly by their slow asses.
one of them rode off in a ditch while listening to his mp3 player or something....
Nothing hurt except his pride......

I've been asking that for years, never found a good answer. Maybe you can find a good one.
 
I have satellite radio and J&M powered speakers that I enjoy very much going down the highway, stock pipes so I can hear them makes those long interstate runs a lot more pleasurable also keeps me from talking to myself so much. I keep getting in arguments that bad when you lose an argument to yourself. It's bad enough to lose to your wife
