Transmission Fun The One Thing I Hate

It must be the newer cars and bikes for me, years ago my bikes were always raring up on the back wheels loosing traction and scraping the pegs on most corners, my cars were always causing me to get booked for speeding ,crashing into things or the engines blowing up, my trucks were always overloading them selves and causing me to be on the fringe with my log book, now my bikes behave them selves ,my cars just cruise along and I have had no problems with RMS inspectors for years, nothing to do with me being more mature :whitstling::whitstling: just modern machinery:thumbsup:

Technology (and maturity) is crazy, isn't it? Before you know these vehicles of ours will be driving themselves. What fun will that be?

In 12 months time my eldest Grand Daughter will be Driving a car, then I know I am getting "mature":eek::laugh:
I have two of those little buggers. The oldest is only halfway to her Driver License. I love them to death, but when I think about # 1- I have two granddaughters, # 2- how old they are, # 3- how old I am, it really makes me realize I am not in my twenties anymore. My wife does remind me that I am the oldest child in the house so I guess that makes me smile a bit.

@mully95 - I only used it 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 except two times, those two times were at less than full power. Thinking back now, the bike has done this pop out in the past, but I always chalked it up to me being a dandy when putting it in 2nd gear because I could kick it back into gear and it would stay.

Yes it's still under warranty, and going back to stock except the lighting. Resetting ECU to stock tune, dropping at the dealer asap.

i'd laugh if the dealer was on here.. only joking, sorry for your troubles some disappointment

Honestly I'd expect them to honor the warranty even with all the mods, it's a HD dealer..... How many stock HDs are running around Hawaii .... Basically none.

She's with the dealer, heart breaking turning it over, feels like leaving a family member with strangers :(

ON A HUGE PLUS NOTE:

The dealer has done the update kit before on a 2006!!! It was recently too, early 2015, same tech who will be on my bike, so at least there is some silver lining, that this isn't his 1st time doing the job. The updated rocket is out and about, and he rides the living **** out of her, like I do, so that's a plus!

EDIT:

If I go to neutral and hold the shifter up going into 2nd and give it power, it stays in gear. Not sure if that indicates shift fork or bad gear, or a combination of the two, guess we'll find out soon enough.

Since the update kit came out long ago, why wouldn't it have been included in the build up at the factory on newer Rockets ???????
