Trailer Size to haul 2 bikes

I'm looking to purchase a small utility trailer that needs to also haul my Rocket and my wife's Yamaha 750 Virago. Will a 5'x8' be wide enough to haul both bikes?

Probably not. Measure the width of the handlebars, and/or the widest width of the bike, leaving at least, at the bare minimum, 8 inches of room for movement of the bikes side to side. You do not want them rolling side to side and touching one another.

See if you can get a line on a snowmobile trailer. The bed sits over the tires instead of between them (nice and wide) and the they usually have a tilt bed and/or a drive-off front ramp. They are also geared for similar weights. Jet ski trailers may be another option, but they may not be as wide and will probably involve more deck modifications.

I've got a 6x12 enclosed and just barely fits the R3T and a CBR1000RR.. I have to remove a saddlebag otherwise a frame slider is within 5" of the saddlebag..
I use Baxley chacks and am not comfortable with having the bikes TOO close even if they're locked down good and tight..

Tdragger I have a kendon 2 bike trailer that we use http://www.kendonusa.com/dual_trailer.htm .... that are a little on the pricy side but it store upright in the garage and one person can load the bikes. it is the one we used on the chase truck at the RAA event last year

Yeah, that was a real nice trailer but way out of my price range.

Plus, I can't justify to myself a single use trailer right now.

Here is mine on a 6x10 snowmobile trailer last September. I would suggest not tilting the trailer and driving up it, very scary, use a ramp if you get one.

I wouldn't recommend a snowmobile trailer with the small wheels. The small tires on those trailers are junk. Lots of blow outs and such. Those small tires can not run in the summer that good, heat up to much. I ride snowmobiles all winter, more and more people are getting away from those trailers due to the junk tires that come on them. All my friends have upgraded to at least 13 inch tires because they got sick of changing tires all the time.
