has anyone towed with the roadster before? how do they do? i've pulled with a kawasaki voyager before but nothing of this scale or with as big of a rear tire. reason i ask is that i have a kwik camp i would like to pull behind the roadster.

pretty up to the job then? or should i just not bother?

(I did not search prior to posting this, i am leaving work as i type this)

thanks,
Steve H

Haven't seen any Roadsters, but there are lots of Captains towing with Standards and Classics. Do a search here, and I'm sure you find some nice pics.

I have a Leesure lite camper trailer about (255lbs) and it's almost laughable pulling this with the R3R. You don't even feel it and it does not really hurt your gas milage. At 100kph the bike will up 100 rpm with the trailer. Pulls no problem in any gear up hills.....it is just like pulling with a goldwing(but 150lbs lighter) I will try and post some pictures later

that would be great. Who did you get your hitch from. I only see bushtec making one for the roadster and i find it a bit tough to deal with the high price.

I have been looking at several of the campers bunkhouse and timeout. I pull a trailer I built myself in had thought about turning it into a pop-up. I was going down to the Honda wingding in Knoxville July 5 to the 9 seems like all manufacturers will be there even the trikes and do a little looking I'm running a hitchdoc which at the time love it, I can run down the interstate at 80 with better half and do not even know trailer is there wondered how you decided on your camper any input would be appreciated.

I chose the Leesure Lite for several reason

1. From the time you unhook the trailer from the bike you can be set up and in bed in about 1 1/2 min no problem
2. the weight 255lbs
3. Built locally in BC
4. a few friends of mine also have the same trailer
5. many options with add a rooms and screen rooms
6. i have seen others and the Leesure Lite in my option is one of the most thoughtfully(if that is a word) built

******Caution******The hitch from bushtec will not fit a roadster. I know I bought one and had to return it(what a pain in the ass that was). Jim at Bushtec is a nice guy but dealing with cross border returns...what a nightmare

The hitch I have is from DMC Sidecar. It is nice and real easy to take on and off

I tow a 450 kg Kamperoo camper very similar to the leasurelite shown above it originally weighed 160kgs ( Hightly modded) 450kg = 990 pounds and no problems towing, search "Hitch doc with CT" for some pictures unforunitly can't upload same picture twice here
