YOU can put all the goodies on the R3R and it is lighter ,has bigger tires and wheels , better gauges with tach,larger gas tank , and it handles better and has more power. I would get the Roadster and set it up to your liking
that is a good summary; lest we forget the roadster is cheaper!!
The way i see it the Touring is better for long trips; if you not going to be doing much across the country riding but more in town- roadster all day. It is a more upright riding position so you do want to take that into consideration if you have lower back issues
