Not sure about hard bags, but I have the largest set of bags Viking makes on a set of easy brackets on one of my rockets that were loaded to the max during the 4,000+ miles of the last RAA. Worked just fine.
I have mitzy's removable backrest designed for he easy brackets and was looking for something to just mount when I want them and take them off when I don't.
Found some touring hardbags on eBay that looked great - just don't know how they would mount.
I suggest fabricating a couple thin aluminum plates to cover the inside of each bag and mounting the Easy Brackets through them.
Shall give extra strength and support to the bags and keep them aligned perpendicular to the road.
Never had any trouble with bag sag...on the bike anyway. Steel is running a similar setup with no issues either. Pretty sure Nolton is running the same thing

Nor I, no bag sag whatsoever with the River Road.
The plates I fabbed keep them perpendicular and add strength when they are stuffed to the max with my $hit!
