has anyone actually dyno'd a Triumph stock tune (20226 / 20219) for aftermarket exhaust/cat bypass to see what kind of power it actually puts out? I'm trying to understand Triumphs use of closing the secondaries in the midrange in all the gears.
To me the bike seems to perform nicely (20226)... without the ill effects of certain custom tunes. After trying several, I opted back to a Triumph OEM tune. Some tunes felt laggy, jerkey in low rpm maneuvers, more backfiring and mild airbox coughing (backfire at lower rpm acceleration after letting off the gas). Maybe it's just me or maybe the temperature change from one day to another but the custom tunes just don't feel right. So far I've tried a couple of the 20050ToR_dyno ones and the 'trippr3TORSunderseat' with the latter being better than the first.
What is everyone using for their aftermarket exhaust/cat bypass setup? Are more people having luck with certain tunes than others?? Which one has had the best feedback from Rocket owners?
(my mods - TORs + cat bypass + K&N airbox filter)
