Top Suspension Adjustment for Rocket 3 with col and Zig!

I was able to get a slot with Dave Moss Tuning at the SoSo Cycles event in Concord California in 2 weeks and get my suspension tuned professionally. It will be $80 well spent.
Please share your results because I am wondering if I am doing 80% highway driving my suspension should be X and if I am doing 80% hooning around my suspension should be y. I ask because I got educated by @Journeyman, @Kevin frazier on tire pressures that made a huge difference on bike performance for a given situation. These bikes are so easy to adjust on the fly, it would be good information to know. Thanks!

I'll share what I can but just so you know I'm not into geeking out on suspension adjustments to find the optimal settings for different situations. I'm just going to have him tune it for my weight to cover my general needs and that's it. I will ask him a bunch of questions though and be more than happy to post the results.

Easy, very clear and quick Suspension Adjustment for my Rocket 3 R....this Setup works perfect for me....thanks so much to col and Zig! Great Work!

IMHO, tis a tad caveman. Like putting someone else's tune in your bike.
A get-me-by till it can be done properly. 👍

Exactly right! I am 6’3”, 240lbs. I have owned my bike for less than one year and have 21,000 miles on it. This bike. (‘22GT) is super responsive to minor suspension tweaks. You are not going to hurt anything by putting a 1/4-1/2 or full turn on your suspension. When you hit the right spot, you will know. Go over, even, and then back down to the sweet spot. Now, let’s talk about tire pressure. 🤪

37.7 psi (2.6 bar) front and rear.

One size does not fit all. I watched the video and it can get you in the ball park but certainly not my settings. At 5'9" 190 (ish:mad:) I have been adjusting and readjusting since I had the Rocket GT. The back preload came from the factory at minimum settings and this has been my problem area. After trying pretty much every click up to max I find the minimum is better for my (lack of better word, 'Stocky') build. I go one half click from minimum adjustment. Anything over that is a pain in my back. Now someone my weight and height may find it horrible and has to have a firmer 10 clicks up or so. What's good for you probably isn't good for me even if we are close in stature. Injuries old and new have to be incorporated into the suspension setup. The suspension adjusting is like putting a puzzle together slowly. I think mine is dialed in but like Protonhound it's more for comfort and basic ridding than any backroad carving. At this point comfort is my main concern but I want to be able to hit the backroads without any negative feedback from my setup. Tire pressure is set rear 39.5 and front 37.5. Cheers!
