Tire Sizes

For U.S. riders. . . OEM rear tires for the R3GT/R is a 240 50 x 16. Has anyone substituted a 55 profile tire for the OEM 50 tire? And if so, is there a noticeable difference in height. It appears the 55 profile tires are a lot less expensive and more available. The only 240 50 x 16 tire I can find that is available is the Metzler 888's and a set runs nearly $800 - Ouch!

Great tire for the early rockets
For the newer rockets a great tire but a slight mod needed to make it fit. There have been several threads on this that you can search.
On my 07 not much difference at 6 feet tall
If you are having trouble flat footing it before the it might be a problem.
Can trim the sides of seat.
