You are right Dave,I have had a lot of cars in my lifetime some better than others ,some I have built and knew every nut and bolt on but none ever gave me the enjoyment of riding even a run of the mill motorcycle, its a thing that gets in the blood of some of us , every time I get on a bike I am 17 again (in my mind anyhow)

I also have had many cars, hot rods, regular old cars, classics, Ferrari's and Porsche, vans, pick ups etc. NONE are as much FUN as a nice day riding a bike. They not only make you feel young but they actually help to keep you young.

Thanks for all the activities on the Forum. It is a pitty when one of " the Old experienced Guys" decides to change the Lady for a Cabrio.
My wife drives a VW Eos Cabrio, we own a small boat as well. Me to was thinking of selling the Rocket but each Time I look at it and see this magnificent piece of Machine I say to myself: " Noway.
I ride it it whenever I have some Time in the evening and am glad it's still in the Garage......

YES there is something about the rocket that transcend what motorcycling is all about for me anyway I had many bikes through the ages bought and sold without a blink yet the rocket just does not fit in this scenario I walk in the garage and get mesmerized to see this magnificent piece of steel standing in the middle barely touching the concrete floor looking just awesome and ready to run , the sum of all the parts connected together by welds bolts and wires have this unnerving effect on my left brain lobe saying can you honestly think about selling me sometime in the future the answer is definitively a resounding NO

Some Guys have a kind of Museum with severall old Cars. Some see it as an Investment.
The only thing I need to get that nice Feeling, Smile on my Face is this awsome Bike ever made.
The Fact that I can ride her tells me also that I am still young.......

Maybe if you sell the ROCKET you will not like the garage anymore so then you sell the house. If someone asks why you sold your old house you tell them its a long story but it started with selling my motorcycle.

I'm lucky to be still riding at 74 years old. I love it as much as ever. Its just impossible not to have a great day while riding a motorcycle.

you are doing better than good!! I turned 70 this year and I hope to keep riding for another 5 years . do you agree that the joy of riding is as much in the head as it is in the limbs! my wife tells me I talk like a kid when I straddle my rocket
