Time for a new rear tire, car tire or bike tire ?

Where I come from science means experimentation, which is another way of saying real world experience.
My science - that would be millions of miles of DS usage, from hundreds/thousands of users - on virtually every power cruiser produced, including BMW - says your science is lacking, insufficient, bogus.
Two issues that I think are extremely important, and are seldom mentioned, from my readings.
One, the vehicle weight.
Two, the tread wear.

When I have 3000 miles on my rear MCT, and I can feel the steel threads under the rubber, I do not not feel very safe.

You people who think science can be worked out in your bathroom with a pencil or computer need to get up to date.
You need to step out into the light of day.
You need to become a critical thinker.

I am not implying, I am stating.
For you, it may be a different world.

OK Im sure its all lies and you cant trust magazine writers they will say anything to favor and endorse the manufactures who dont know anything about the tires they produce And your only getting 3000 miles out of the MC tires so your using your tires up three times faster than I do so you need to find some cheaper rubber that lasts longer or youll go broke
 
I ran a car tire for a while..it stuck better in the curves (seemed to anyway)..and it stopped faster..I had a real close call with rear tire panic lock up once with a MT..that was one of the main reasons I wanted to try a car tire..the only negative was the notchy feeling it gave when transitioning from a lean (curve) back to straight up riding..plus I just didn't like the looks of it..btw, I'm moving to FL too..Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area..where you be, beherenow?
 
I was thinking I could ride like a little old lady. Seems to work for some.
But you are right about not trusting magazine writers, except, it has nothing to do with tires.
Pick a subject, and it is the same.
Cameras, camping gear, cars, motorcycles, or tires. All the same to the ones who know where their bread and butter comes from.
And it is not all lies. Problem is, you have to go elsewhere to find out what is, and what is not.
Of course, you can just eat the gruel and believe it is five start cuisine, like they tell you.
 
YES so your saying this guy is a liar and is and will tell us anything if it will help him fill his pockets wih cash and this applies to all other subjects also Triumph also has made it clear it will not warranty any bikes running a car tire so you need to straighten them out also
 
@BehereNow don't waste your breathe I have been down this tiresome road myself before, I was even foolish enough to believe that a journo was going to write an a unbiased review with my help on the DS here is Auss and it isn't so much that they lie but that they don't tell the Whole truth as they don't want upset their advertisers (because as we all now the Mag's make their real moment from the the Adverts not the cover price) the *****I dealt with couldn't even label the pictures correctly let alone the misquotes and bias opinions. the rest of the review was based his comments on a 10km (mile) ride the rest of the article was from observing me riding my bike.
I really don't know why I am wasting my time but I am actually interested to see the OP's comments so Art or any of the other Nay Sayers please don't waste your time replying and let thread stay on the OP's (@Wrecka) comments I have read all the other dribble before
 
Well, after careful consideration and objective analysis, how could anybody disagree with Hanso's well-reasoned and measured response.

Surely the resoundingly thorough and nearly uniform, negative response from any and all qualified experts is nothing more than a giant conspiracy to milk more money from motorcyclists and nothing more. Risk factors, liability exposure, engineering, physics and the like are absolutely irrelevant to anyone that might want to weigh such factors as part of their decision making process regarding what type of tires they may choose to run...
