lucky you, for the rest of us maybe someone can help me out, I'm a bit out of my jurisdiction and the only throttlemeister dlr near my temp zip code is harley so I was hoping someone here could tell me what size the standard's handlebars are ?

I'd go with either a http://www.throttlerocker.com/ which is low tech, cheap and surprisingly effective at saving your hand for longer runs or something more advanced than a bog standard throttle lock. I simply don't think they're at all safe.

At the very least, a BrakeAway that disengages when you hit the brakes.

As far as I know, they're all 1 inch stock.
 
yes but the threaded pieces are different between bikes...

More info! I would love a real cruise control for the Rocket. Money? How hard to install?

The BrakeAway looks like a nice set up. Might have to think about this.
I highly recommend them.
I love mine it was a bit of a pain fitting it to ISO grips but once on a breeze to use and by far the safest throttle lock out there the only thing better would be a full on cruise control like Mittzy has
 
Do not see a brakeaway Cruise Control for the rocket does any one know witch one will fit
