Throttlemeister Heavy or Standard?

I know of what you speak, barbagris, but I think I'll stick with someone else's engineering and track record rather than trust my own abilities to get it right. Yeah, it's spendier, but the "surprise factor" should be a lot less.

As to the offering from Newr3.com, I don't see a matching counterweight for the other handlebar. $125 for just the one side seems higher than the Throrttlemeister option.

Aha the South African thing is made to match the R3 original - so You don't need another left on.

Oh and heavy is good - rode the R3 today without weights - and felt white finger buzz.

There's a company that sells a product called a bar snake; basically you fill the handlebars with a material that firms up and hardens; giving weight to the bars.

http://www.newr3.com/html/kaoko_cruise_control.html So long as you don't fall asleep on the bike & run off road at full speed ahead!!

looks good tho.. anyone got one??

The bike had one when I bought it. After few months I got wary of it. I know some people swear by them, maybe its the super smooth freeways they ride on. I would rather have a throttle that winds back on its own in an emergency.
I bought one of those Crampbusters the other day, seems to be ok,except it needs to come off in city traffic.

Thats why I like throttlemeisters.you can set it so htat you can wind em back manually as you ride, if the need t odeccellerate arrises all of a sudden. There is no need to have a throttlemeister wound tight.

Onthe bar snakes, why not save some $$$ and just fill some rubber tube with lead shot with a bung in both ends??
