This Close " to cutting off heel shifter

At least half, probably more, of the people who would look at your bike wouldn't want it and most of the rest wouldn't care if it was there or not. This is based on feedback I get in a bike shop. The heel shifter is a bigger turn off than turn on.

Getting rid of the handle bars was the 2nd. Then catalytic converter. Pipes, seat, air filter, shocks, windshield, passenger backrest pad, headlight bulbs, horn, passenger pegs, 10 or twelve maps.

Not sure whats left to replace.

Future wishlist. Ozclaw, paintjob, power commander v, small pull behind trailer.

Ah the wonderful Touring has a two piece shifter lever so you have the option of heel shifter or not thank you Mr Triumph

The Classic shift lever is all one piece. I cut off the peg part, thinking I could bolt it back on if I wanted to, but the bar is still preventing my boots from sitting on top of the board, so more surgery is required. I found the lean limit a couple days ago, and my boot hit before the board did, so I need to be able to tuck them in a little closer.

I never thought I'd like floorboards, but they're growing on me. A lot more options for foot positioning.

Depending upon which which set of floorboards you have - yes, the shift lever can be impossible to find!!!! If your linkage attaches to the front of the pivot - very difficult to find.

The problem with that is that other parts would shrink to match, so not so good.
