Finding another R3 around here has become kind of like the hunt for Sasquatch. You hear from other people who claim to have seen one and every now and then I find trace evidence of one (mechanic had a 240R16 tire from one), but today I finally witnessed one in person. She was a nice pearl/red classic with matching beetle bags, '07 I'm guessing. Two years and that's the first one I've seen on the road (except for the dealer of course) in my city (saw a couple at a rally in Canada once). I hope he was just passing through, I kind of like having a unique bike.

Not to worry...
Even if he lives around the corner from you,
If today's the first time you've seen him,
I'd say it's not gonna be to crowded in the unique bike dept....
Besides, Triumph has to sell a few or they'd quit making them and the parts....

I don't think they are that common anywhere Buffalo, I see them occasionally in passing but rarely meet up with one when stopped. Exception to that was at the "Ponderosa cafe" on the horseshoe pass in Wales, a very popular venue for bikers. I know there are a lot about but you do have to look for them.

The only other one I've seen is when I met Budman at Hooters.

I know the feeling!
I have had mine for 3+ years, and I have only seen one other on the road, and that was about 100 miles from my house.

There is another rocket captain that lives about 3 miles from me - he was an inspiration to me in making my choice to join the ranks of the elite.

Bikers around here ask me what a Rocket III is with that sneer, thinking "****** rocket".
The largest city close to me is Shreveport, La. Haven't seen any there either.
Harley riders think that I have some off brand bike until I tell them to look it up. Later all they want to know is the price. I tell them that they cant afford it.
