the standard darkside tire

Since I plan to put a lot of miles on my R3T, I'm kicking around going Dark Side with a rear... Without losing too much overall circumference, does anyone have a suggestion for a 'low profile' looking DS tire to replace a stock metz? I wouldn't mind having the beast sit just a touch lower in the rear...

If you can live with higher rpms at the same speed... lower profile tire will raise rpms, have stiffer side walls, more counter stearing...

Putting dark side 'aside', I've seen that some people on here run 200/ rears with a slightly lower profile. These would maintain the OEM overall diameter, correct?

**On a Touring, obviously. I just realized that many of you are on roadsters and standards... apologies. I meant that some R3T riders are going from the 180 OEM to 200 on the rear with a lower sidewall (from 70 to 60).

I don't have too many miles on it yet, but i just picked up my bike (2011 R3T) Thursday from the shop.

I went with the Yokohama Avid Envigor 205/60r16. The shop set it up with 50psi, cause it was their first C/T install. But after i lowered it to 34psi, i love it!

With everything i had read, i expected the change to be huge, m/c to c/t. In fact, i notice that it is different, but not really a whole lot. It seems more stable, and their is a touch more counter-steer involved but not much. Gravel roads are fine (seems better), you feel crappy roads a touch more, but its not bothersome. You can definitely feel it on the tight turns, but it doesn't feel like its going to slip out (it did feel like it was going to at 50psi). I probably only have 100 miles on it so far, and i will report back when i have more. So far my riding has been some city, gravel roads, and the crappy highways in eastern new mexico.
