The Outlaw's Storm

Friends are suggesting a fairing or a windscreen but I yearn (at least for now ) for my old bug eatin days on a Bonnie with no windscreen. Being that I am an Outlaw of sorts I figure a black helmet with a black bandana tied on the face just under the eyes and goggles are in order. Already have that stuff too. What I want most is another Utopia backrest for this bike, then footboards. Thats it, then highways. Trust me I will be riding anyday when its over 32 degrees with or without backrest and footboards. I do like the sound of the Hog Slayers I heard on YouTube but.................$$$$$$

Thats the one. The "Half Backs" here are maddening. Half Back is a yankee that moved to Florida but its too hot in the summer so they invade here and hang out all summer long until its too cold then they go back. Goldilocks in a Buick.

At least the snow birds go home for the summer (outta be a season on them).

Now I can ride "Black" with you, Rainman and STB. That will be a sight, one blacked out Rocket Roadster, a Storm and two Victories rollin up on you somewhere...........like Ouray. Whoops, ixnay on Ouray. Reckon I could go as close as Texas.

I wish to advise that being of less than sound mind and of Scottish lineage that I am cursed with deep pockets and short arms. That said, this ain't a new virgin 2011. Its used but has less than 9K on the clock and I am getting it at a discount as its been at the dealer for a year plus so they dropped it twice and called me before they advertised it. Its just like me, slightly used but not used up. Its a budget conscieous Storm. Freakin drive belts are $300, holy crap. I bought an extended warranty for two years with no deductible just in case.

Nice bike, Josey. Hope you like the flat black. We have the flat back on our Roadster and have not found it easy to keep looking good (we admit we are a bit obsessive about such). We got a bottle of some stuff at the HD dealership made for their "satin finishes" that helps.

We trudge on.

I had a roadster screen, longhaul seat, and every other acc you can put on the Storm and last spring i made 2 round trips from chicago -atlantic city thats 850 miles x 4 in 3 weeks (with a broken leg) and that was 1 sweet ride. congrats and enjoy, might want to keep the rocket for when you want to go fast though.
