Ridin into Maggie Valley

Would it be possible to meet up with the OK and TX Captains in say Nashville on the 7th or will y'all be taking another route? Nashville is 750 miles for me, about as far as I could get in 1 day, no day long seat yet. I am hoping to catch the KC Captains on the way through.

Danno is probably out as his shop will be swapped with a/c work. Any other NE captains that would like to join in?

By the way, I just figured out that is Mother's Day weekend, oh well once I am in the dog house hard to get in any additional trouble, right?

Skip, if you havn't used up all that snake oil from Flip I will get it from you on the trip unless we meet up between now and then.

There's nothing,that I know of, other than adopting common understandings and fellowship that keeps members of "the other side" from being members here. In fact there are several "motorheads" that hold dual citizenships.

will anone be bring their wife? IF so will she be riding 2 up or bring a bike. My wife wants to come and bring her bike just want to make sure she will have company

Yes, there were quite a few women along last time, so she'll have plenty of company. Shoot, she'd be a hit if she rode her own. My wife rides her own as well, and I can count the number of times she's ridden with me on one hand since she's been riding her own.. lol

It doesn't like look like we will be able to make it this year though.. I've switched jobs since last year and just don't have the vacation time..

Bill, sure we could hook up somewhere along the way. I'm off duty starting the morning of the 6th and don't heve to be back until the morning of the 19th. I'm going to head from this ride to the New Ulm, Tx BMOA gathering so I'm in for just about anything. I'm ready!

New thing for me

I just got the Rocket and wasn't aware there was such a thing as the RAA. Anywhere in NC or the surrounding area is good with me. I haven't been up there in a long time but as my usual rides are to Florida/Daytona, getting treated badly in a tourist trap attitude is about what I am used to. If it gets to bad I will just ride somewhere else. It is not the place that matters but the people that you spend your time with that will make or break a trip.

The RAA (Rockets Across America) as I understand it is an annual gathering promoted by the members of this site. This will be the forth. Last years(RAAIII) at Eureka Springs Ar. was my first and I had a great time, it's cool to meet other Rocket/motorcycle people and put names with faces etc. I will always try to make it as many others on this site will. You will have a great time, watch here for the plans to develop. Hope to see you there.
