Man Hanso I too have been thinking about the Tiger 800 for a while now. So many places we go have roads the Rocket can't travel on safely. Well that and we know I'm old and scrawny :D
I have been wanting a dirt bike for a while so I can scout/explore hunting places

Ya ever since I raised Black Angus hunting has not been in my thoughts. But the rest of that explore stuff would be nice. I was just up scoping the area out where the RAA will be and accidently had to ride the Rocket on a non-paved road. Would have been great on a 800 Tiger twisties on gravel :)

pretty much what the Dr said once swelling goes down, which it should be by Wednesday they will then remove this very heavy hanging cast of and replace it with a Clam type cast which should hold things in place while bones knit the break is like a Z shape
Pretty much what I experienced except I had the larger clear view screen, it came from left and luckily there was nothing coming the other way as I crossed over to the other side of road all the while fighting the tankslapper
unfortunately that will be quite a while but I will still be able to teach and coach PCYC and at my local Club

Who would have guessed! - I'm also a PCYC archery coach and Archery Australia instructor... Or more correctly I was until 2 weeks ago. The PCYC gig was robbing too much family time and after 5 years of voluntary service to PCYC my family had to come first. Tried to get my son into the sport but he lost interest shortly after I bought him a Hoytt rig. Myself, I'm a Uukha / Angel guy through and through - but don't shoot enough now to justify keeping my gear.

depending on whether its written off, which I suspect it will be and how long I am of work I will more than likely get something smaller and lighter like a Tiger 800 XCx which I was hoping to get once I got my debt under control, if that does happen there will be some Rocket spares up for sale as I have heaps of service spares a parts but first I will have get back to work as I might end up having to live of that insurance money once I exhaust all my Leave options at work but we will cross that bridge when we get there, weird as it seems even thou I am now in a more comfortable cast I only slept about 2 hours last night ...... geeez the things that go thru your mind when you are laying not sleeping

That would be my choice for a second bike for sure.

WOW M8s?!
I spent two daty riding an 800 Tiger around Missoula, Montana.
While it was a smooth semi- comfy ride, I found it woefully under powered.
Look at the new Honda 1200X. My bro, Dan has one and it's a bonzer!

Don't under rate the big girl in the dirt.
I recently crossed a 50k section of dirt logging roads with a bunch of other bikes on a road run.
The torque and low cofg put me way ahead of a few less confident riders on discovery bikes.
140k and power slides on loose gravel opened a few eyes:D:D:D:D
Who needs a dirt bike when you have an R3:thumbsup::thumbsup:
