Hoping to get a running thread here concerning mistakes and omissions in the service manual. I'll get the ball rolling, but hoping others will chime in with other instances...

2020 Rocket 3 R GT Manual - Searchable by keyword

Here we go, in no certain order....

• On page 49 the exhaust valve clearance is incorrect. It's obviously .23 not .023

Note: I'm unable to find this again. These values are listed correctly on page 61. If anyone finds it listed incorrectly please let me know so I can update this part......

• 
• To remove the camshaft cover one bolt is difficult to get to. The manual says to remove the left side cover- not necessary. Remove the right one (pops off) to help with removing the bolt.
• The service manual instructs you to remove the camshaft cover from the left side of the bike. Well, you're going to have to jump over the fuel connect and it's fragile. I got it out on the right side easily and think that's a typo along with the need to remove the left side cover (above).
• There are three decompressors on the exhaust camshaft. They are not mentioned anywhere in the service manual other than listing them in a diagram of the camshafts. It does not give any instruction on disabling them when checking valve clearances, which it turns out that you must do. You simply rotate them to their neutral position.
• Bleeding the clutch is not described in the manual, but it's the same procedure as bleeding the front brake. Go to 1,076 - 1077 for information about the front brake master cylinder "Bleeding Screw" along with a description of the process. In the diagram of the clutch the bleeding screw is referred to as the "Sealing screw." Same, same.
• There is a whole discussion about the recommended octane, as it's not consistent in the manual. If someone can find the link please post it. I'm now running mid-grade (89) for what it's worth.

There are inconsistencies in stated torque values for fasteners. For example, the screws at the ends of the handlebar are, depending on where you look, listed as either 5 Nm or 10 Nm.

I've reported some of the issues I've found through the reporting function in the online portal, but so far nothing has been done.

Anyone know were to buy a OEM Service Manual for a 2025 R3 GT?

The manual states to tighten the hose clamps on the air filter box to intake headers to 10Nm which is ridiculous.

Look in Resources (top of this page) for a downloadable service manual. I doubt there would be much difference between year models of the 3R/GT.

The OCR reader (image to text) introduced numerous errors while converting the image to text and releasing the text version of the manual. Just look at the comparison below — in my non-OCR version, which is original exactly, there are no such mistakes. Who knows how many more values, like torque and others, have been messed up in that converted version.

That ain’t good. I’m traveling and on my phone, which is limiting (user error). I don’t see the comparison you mentioned, but will check in a few days on my computer. I’ll post a “warning” with that OCR version. The 2.3s have copies of full original versions. At some point someone may share one here. There’s bound to be one floating around the net somewhere

After a thorough search of both the static and searchable versions I can not find where the valve clearances are listed incorrectly. The only thing I can think of is that is a page from the 2.3 manual that somehow got mixed in with my printouts for the 3R (maybe ). In any event, if you go to the searchable version I have posted in Resources to page 169 you'll see that it matches the paid version (3 posts up). It is also listed correctly on page 61. My bad for causing confusion there and sewing doubt about the OCR conversion. For now, it looks like the free searchable version is "as correct" as the paid versions some members have, but if a specific difference is found please let us know......
