Had an annoying over rev tickover on the bike. 2200 constant. Ok that needed attention but I could live with it till it got to the shop. Yesterday the back lights went on the analogue clock, then the analogue fuel guage. Then I noticed that the clock had stopped. Then the Heated grips stopped getting heated ( unlike me! ). Then the rev counter stopped working and all the management lights, neutral, high beam, indicator and fuel. The bike would also make a pulsing sound when I first turned the key after the initial priming sequence. The rev needle would not move even during the prime time but I could get a quick flicker from the management lights. My main lights, fog lights, brake lights, head and tail lights and analogue fuel guage still work. The back lights for the speedo and rev counter still worked but the trip meter was very poorly back lit even in pitch black.
Has anyone had the same symptoms? My bike is in it's warranty so it is in the hands of the shop but if it is a new ailment I can keep you posted. :?

Hi Mike, the electrical fault has happened to mine, easy sorted just a blown fuse.

So Mike have you had the handlebars off the risers laying on the tank? I had a similar problem and corrected it by disconnecting the connectors to the speedo and tach and then reconnecting. I think that while the handlebars were laying on the tank they must have been straining the connectors. Or it just could be "Lucas ghosts".

It has only been the good old english weather that has made the lucas gremlin raise it's ugly head. Thankfully the shop has given me their R3 cruiser as a stop gap till mine is sorted. :?

The autopsy reports a blown fuse, two blown backlight bulbs and water in a few of the connectors under the tank. I am learning one thing, this british bike does not like it's native weather and needs to be covered up and put to bed.
Not like my old Bonnie that seemed to run better when it was wet.
