I installed LED's last year, The best money I ever spent on this bike!
Only one problem, the blue high beam light(indicator) comes on by itself sometimes. And if I put the high beams on then off then the blue light remains on for about 5 minutes. Anyone else having this issue?

For all that are mentioning LED's, can you please mention the brand/model. I have been looking at LEDs for some time now, but I am concerned with the absolute cut-off of light that many of them exhibit. I get that they will be brighter in the center of the beam, but I have seen a number of bikes with LEDs that have too sharp of a cut off for my tastes.

Where do you guys put the 2nd wire with the small light? These only plug in to the 3 prong outlet and the stock light has an additional small light on a wire.

I just left it in there. Took the bulb out.
If I would do it again, there are some models with an integrated park light ring (halo angel eye). Very nice, there is some programming to select the color and some hardwiring to do.

I heard if you pull the bulb it will short out the tail light...that happen to you?

No issue on my '06 R3
Only issue is the high beam indicator that stays on for 5 minutes once I put it back in low beams.

I just pulled out the bulb and stuff the wire out of the way in the headlight housing (it is a bit of fiddle to get it all in but its there if you need to revert to standard lenses)

I had a silver oval added to the head on my Roadster. It's amazing how much it improved the performance.
