The #1 reason why the r3t does not sell well

6 speed and vibration

Yep a sixth gear would be great, along with electronic cruise. My throttle hand will go to sleep after a while due to a very fine vibration. Gel type fingerless gloves helped and also a throttle lock that allows me to rest the right hand when on good ground. Bottom line is the bike is a freaking awesume machine. I've had an e-glide and big Yamahogs and nothing can touch the look, feel and power of the Rocket. My next move is the Rivo handlebar risers to increase my comfort factor. Right now all I've done is the D&D exhaust with mapping upgrade and I'm very happy. Life is good in my part of TN.

My bike came with a center stand. I promptly removed it if anybody needs one ....best offer.

I'd buy it if it fit the R3T.

I see there are a couple of center stands offered for my bike, but I'm looking for the very best one before I spend $350.

(Psssst, hey, Triumph: That's another thing that should've come standard on the Touring.)

Gawd I think you would injure ya Back hauling an R3 onto a center stand :(
I checked a couple of years ago and the Dealer wanted AU$ 500 and it had a heavy nylon strap which attatched to the frame low down so you could Split Ya Sack when lifting it " " onto the stand :D

This triumph Rocket would be great!

That's not a bad looking bike, wolle, if you like that sort of thing. Absolutely not for me but I could see a fair amount of interest in a tourer like that. Have to agree with jrh - it looks a bit cramped though.

I reckon there should be 4 Rockets in the line up.
1. Cruiser - a proper cruiser with lowish seat and pegs even further forward than on the Standard, 280 rear. Or just the Standard reincarnated but with ABS.
2. Roadster - power cruiser as it is now.
3. Sport Tourer - like in the pic.
4. Touring - R3T but with all the stuff you guys want for the long haul.

I'm glad I came straight off a ****** rocket to the Roadster.... I have no complaints because I have never ridden a Harley or other cruisers ..... I love my Roadster!

But I guess I should stay out of it since I don't own a R3T.

You might should have bought a Goldwing and got it over with. lol J/K

I did over 300 miles on rocket roadster this wekend. I just love this **** bike! You guys were absolutely right, I still own and have NOT touched my Harley since I bought this thing!! As for 6 speed, I was with another friend who shall we say goes over the speed limit :D with me and we cruised for miles at 90 MPH and this bike was NO way near read line, so 6 speed would not make that much difference to me. At over 100 I felt small vibration, but felt safe, well compared to my "Hardly" it would feel safe with speedo pinned!!!! One reason it didn't do as well is because all these POSERS on their Harleys don't get it. I have told many of my friend with HD's to take my rocket for a ride, and they say yeah I will and don't take advantage of a test ride.

I agree that a 6-speed would probably be the best single improvement to the R3T....then:

2 tach
3 improved sensors and display system
4 cruise control\electronics package
5 R3R tuning availability
6 center stand
7 trunk

all of which are available aftermarket, but the integration of the 2-3-4 would be excellant....

I have an extra center stand if you want it.

That is the reason I took mine off. It took two strong men to get it up on the stand. Not worth the extra pounds being it isn't really functional.
