The #1 reason why the r3t does not sell well

I think the reason the r3t does not sell well in the USA ... is plain and simple touring bike have the following items that what makes them touring.

1) Rated to pull a trailer.
2) top trunk
3) Full Faring with Built in Electronics
4) Cruise Control.
5) Comfortable and accommodating Pillion Seat.
6) large dealer network to support people that tour.

that why the R3t is truly not a touring bike imho they missed the market it is just another big bore cruiser in a sea of plenty

If you check the Triumph site, they don't list it as a Tourer. It is in with the Cruisers.

I have never heard of a bike being rated for towing a trailer yet infact most manufacturers advise against it for liability reasons. We just tow cos we know we can

There are two reasons the Rocket does not sell any better than it does.

1. It's not a Harley. How many non rider people ask you if you ride a Harley when they know you ride?

2. It's not a V Twin. So many people think that a big time motorcycle has to be a V Twin.

I like being different. I hope Triumph never gives up on the Rocket. Let us be "the other guys" forever.

I like "going my own way".

God Bless Triumph

I agree. The V-Twin Rumble attracts the posers, and the Harley Brand is still attractive due to being the only decent American made bike. Victory is working on that though. As for me, I wanted the R3T to be different. I don't want allot of folks around me on one. I just wish Triumph was smart enough to leave the HP and Torq. alone.

R3 rules..... I too like to be different
But !! I felt a little jealous of the Hardley Davids Son rider when I was sitting next to them at the traffic lights  why ?
Because they always look as if they were getting a full body massage whilst sitting there

But then.. I let the clutch go and smile when I see them shrinking in my mirror :D

My R3 is my single rider hot rod. That is all I wanted. My Goldwing covers all the other bases. You can ride that thing for a week straight and still be comfortable. Rockets are sheer fun! That is why I bought it.
