TFC Flat Out

Rumor has it that a guy Was riding his TFC on a lonely road somewhere at 136 moh, a cop on the oposite side of the road saw him and didnt even bother turning around, he was bever gonba catch up with him, it may be just an urban legend thošŸ˜

So on a controlled road out west I ran the new bike flat out. 146 mph indicated on the speedometer. It is definitely limited by the ECU to that speed. If the nannies could be turned off it would do more.

BTW thatā€™s pretty fast on a naked cruiser.;)
You really should have some clothes on when you go that fast.šŸ˜‚

Some cops ae lazy. They just want to put in their 9 hours and go home (who can blame them in todays world) Others take it personal and will chase you down even if means driving 100 miles or calling out the helicopters or airplanes. They could call another cop that's 10 miles up the road to wait for you. It's hard to beat a radio but it sometimes happens.

Up here if you are tearing it up the cops are not supposed to chase you, the older ones usually don't, the younger ones have something to prove so they usually will put up a chase. According to my uncle who is a staff sergeant at one of the divisions, the old guys have it down to a science now, you fly by them, and they will speed up, but no lights or sirens, just fast enough to keep tabs on where your headed, then they call in the chopper, and the chopper finds you, but hangs back out of site, and follows you home, or where ever you are going, then radios back to the other cops your location, and they just come and pay you a visit and deal with you there, and they bring the tow truck to take the bike away for impound even if it is at home and in the garage.

I have... on occasion... had a sudden urge to pull off the freeway and get some gas and maybe a bite to eat...

This probably is contained in another topic but my personal land speed record was 226 kph (as close as my eyes could tell) more than a decade ago on my Suzuki DL1000 VStrom on US50 headed towards Sparks,Nevada. Around 200 there was a little front end wobble that caused a brief pucker moment but on she went, and I believe the motor had more than 226 (I didnā€™t). STILL, it is WAY more fun pulling out and passing with the Rocket when I look down and see Iā€™ve gone from 90 kph to 160 kph passing 3-5 vehicles in less than 3-5 seconds (it seems) and listening to the Jardines growl. Hope I never grow up šŸ˜ but doubt Iā€™ll ever want to know just how fast the beast will go.
