So I took the GT out on its maiden voyage and about 30 miles in I get the high temp light. Of course I'm in the middle of nowhere and starting to freak a little. I pull over and the fans are not running, the bike does not seem hot at all and is running great. I'm thinking the best thing to do is either stop and let it cool down or keep going to keep air going across the radiator. I went with the latter. Rode the bike home another 20 to 25 miles with no issues other than the high temp light on. Got home and called the dealer and decided that one of the temperature sensors went bad. He told me that a separate sensor turned on the fans, buy the way I did check fuses and connections, all good. I also confirmed that the radiator had coolant flow through it. I can start the bike and the temp gauge starts easing up and within a minute it pegs out. I don't know where the sensor is located but hopefully they wont have to tear the bike apart too much to fix it.

Hope you are not discouraged. I remember when I took my brand new Harley out and it left me stranded on the side of the Road with no power to the transmission. Turns out the clutch burnt out in under 100kms. The worst part about it was Harley was trying to blame me for somehow destroying a Clutch in 100kms. Left a huge sour taste in my mouth and had to stand my ground to get them to actually look into the issue and fix it under warranty. Good news about your specific issue is that its a clear cut warranty item and Triumph seems pretty good with Warranty issues. Stay safe and I am sure its an easy fix !

No, not getting discouraged at all. Just got back from 100 mile ride on it and it was great. I just don't pay attention to the overheat light and warning. My old Rockets both left me on the side of the road.
