What did you go with on the rear? A damper ive found wont help with fork shake on bad surfaces but at 150 im glad i have one suited on old model. Ohlins, Race tech and others dont offer slap in kits because someone has to send theres in to be fitted but they can certainly do it. Most dont because of the cost and labor to remove your tubes and package for delivery to any one of the places you choose. The steering damper probably comes into play when youre running that thang hard. Its hard to run a rocket wide open for long before you run out of road. Your thread is about a damper in the video getting a message to dude so i dont want your thread to turn into a 5000 dollar suspension upgrade thread when you can fit a steering stabilizer for 500 and be good as it will help. I am just passing on info giving to me here on thread long ago to start with shocks and front forks as until you get rebound and dampening fixed it will struggle. Steering damper no problem get one you will figure it out👍.

Of course Kevin, you are absolutely right. Moreover, my interventions on this post were, initially, intended to obtain information on a steering damper as mounted on the Vietnamese R3! As I'm still looking for a solution to eliminate this **** fork trembling, the post has deviated to the suspensions!

It is obvious that if you give me the solution for mounting a steering damper, this is what I will install... the fork springs will be changed next if necessary and, lastly, the shock absorber. ..
I am uncompromising about motorcycle suspensions because, for me, beyond pure power, it is the only way to ride quickly and safely (like on my Ducati and its "electric" Öhlins).

Hi everyone, I managed to get Sang Low Rider via FB!
He does not make Lockheed tank covers/mirror supports but, on the other hand, he is ok to offer the steering damper and the mounting kit in small series.
He will contact me again to give me his price. I will be sure to pass on the information to you...good news, right?

In any case, for me, I'm going to start with that before changing the fork cartridges and/or the shock absorber... my banker (my wife...) will greatly appreciate it :D

As soon as I have the answer from Sang Low Rider I will post don't worry ! I think there will be quite a few of us who want to buy this piece
Did anything become of this kit???

hi 509GT, unfortunately no, I have no response from this preparer despite several reminders on FB. I am the first to be frustrated, especially since I have just put a new map on my "R" and wheelings become obvious in 3...

Great ! As much as I don't care about gaining horsepower on my Rocket, I'm absolutely trying to correct its major handling defect with this fork which shakes on bad surfaces... the steering damper is one of the options, plus normally the cheaper...quickly a solution!

email sent today via google trad...I hope they will understand....
either your forks are not aligned, suspension setup horribly, or you have a wheel/rim issue. These bikes dont need a steering damper, not even those with TTS charger kit. I’ve seen another bike on YT having horrible wobbles even at moderate speeds, they should not be like this from factory.

My immediate thoughts also as soon as I saw the thread title. Not a hint of head shake from mine on any surface at any speed. Planted to the point of being on rails. I wouldn't expect anything else from a bike of this length, weight, lazyish geometry and low centre of mass, unless something was wrong.
Stock suspension set-up is wayward (at least for me) but it doesn't affect the steering and I'm sure it can be dialed out with a proper set-up. But never slap-happy under any conditions.
