Starting to have some hip pain issues

Any suggestions would be very welcome to hear.
Thanks Eric
Eric - I'm coming up to 60. I think I need to go back to sports bikes.
If joints ache - I suggest a physiotherapist for a few sessions. If it's something more serious - they'll know.
And if it is not, well they'll get you nice and supple - which will make you popular in the limbo contests.

I have the long haul set and second the back rest option as it helped me. Since that doesn't work for you; I don't have experience with after market seats but I'm betting you can get one (with an optional backrest) that will help. On my wifes HD she had a similar problem and we took her original seat and had the foam redone (trimmed down to make it narrower); using the same pan and cover.

If members can switch R3 'Touring' (Not Classic 'Tourer') foot rails, boards and controls over to a Roadster, the reverse should be possible, i.e. to fit either early R3 Standard foot rails and pegs or the mid mount Roadster peg version to a 'Touring'.

Hey Eric, I was having problems hip and they where saying I need. New hip that’s it’s worn out also a new knee.
I had stem cells done to my hip and knee in Pittsburgh and Im feeling so much better now.
I also had my two Piriformis muscles in butt that was in flame that was also causes hip for being stiff muscles being over worked that could cause pain and stiffness and if it swollen it could press against the sciatic never cause pain down leg, or making your hip stiff and sore.
I had it all, could hardly walk and this doctor in Pittsburgh fixed me doing dry needling stem cells and PRP and I’m so much better I can walk with no limp and sleep with no pain.
I would have a specialist check your Piriformis muscle with ultrasound see if muscle is swollen,

ooooh they are a pain - I am unfortunate that my sciatic nerve is encased by the Piriformis - it's rare but happens.

Thanks for the responses. I read them all. I’m going to get a Airhawk R seat pad and also the jack be quick risers. The seat pad will move me up a bit and help with my leg angle and the spacers will help with a little less reach. These particular risers aren’t that much higher so I won’t have to mess with my cables.

Oh I can relate! a couple thoughts came through here. I NEED the highway pegs when my hip start aching. It's the only relief. The whiskey shots sound interesting. Is that before the ride or during? I tool off my back rest. It seems to help so far. I'll find out next week...
