i had a ring short out while jumping a car in the rain started shaking my hand to get it cooled down the ring went flying down the road. it was gone
another i slipped on a flat bed with rails and instead off falling off the truck i grabbed the rail and the only thing that caught was my ring.
no longer wear rings while working.
once and a while wedding ring on weekends

When my wife was a teenager working in a department store someone fell off a ladder and their ring caught and tore their finger off. They sent my poor wife back to dig through a bin of scarves to find the finger, she was freaking out!

if i had not been a skinny guy it would have tore mine off to.
i would bet that your wife never forgets that.

i would also bet my wife never forgets taking the 20 gauge from under the bed and making a giant hole in the carpet

That's one thing I never wore as a mechanic both in the automotive and heavy equipment industry..... my wedding ring... or any ring for that matter.

Too many horror stories.

Put in the new battery, it'll charge overnight. I didn't mess with the solenoid because turning the bike on and letting it sit 30 seconds with the lithium battery it would turn over fast.

I added this 10ga wire to the ground.

All connections now have star washers and are cleaned. The top connection on the starter was corroded so now it's cleaned with a star washer. I added a star washer to the engine ground next to the starter.

Having a look at the green wire you have used there, it looks like a cable typically used in housing electrical with only a few conductors. Higher voltage, less current carrying capacity. It’s better to use a cable with many thinner strands ( more surface area, more current capacity at lower voltages). Besides this, they have more tendency to weaken with vibration.

It's not I bought it for my Victory Cross Country, the wire isn't a solid core it's multiple strands.

It looks like about 5 or 6 strands...compare it to the wires to the left on the battery terminal which are the OEM ones.

It's a heavy wire and what I like is it's short.
