2021 Triumph Rocket 3 R
Kind of early in the morning, still a bit dark. Pulled up on kind of a sidewalk, pretty narrow, some gravel or sand and I've lost my footing. Dropped to the left side with handlebars fully engaged left. No damage to tank, but handlebars, mirror, heated grips, lever and what else is up there, then the drive-shaft had a smallish nick sissybar and cushion.. I'm leaving out the scratch on the crank-case as that would make it technically a total, and I dont have quite the money to replace the bike plus add-ons for it.

Anyway, insurance will pay just south of EUR 8'000.-. Holy ****!

Mind where you put your feet!

tank itself is 2500GBP if they have in stock
other things are comparatively cheap
heated grips, gets from ebay around 400usd, you may find just one side if you need only left side
left lever OEM brembo 100USD
mirror if not the round one then ~200 each
touch up paint 50usd
handlebar anti vibrator at the end ~100usd
handlebar ~200usd

In parts you looking 1000usd from what you mentioned.
you can easily replace all those by yourself.

Ebay is your friend. I regularly see all the parts you have mentioned listed on ebay here in the UK. I'm guessing you'll have similar listings closer to home.

Insurance pays. Not really my headache since even my premium is insured.
You need to find a better insurance company
Dont really think so. Mind you, I'm paying about a grand for the Rocket and my old Speedy per year (same numberplate). Everything covered except the 500 bucks I have to pay out of my own pocket per case. Not applicable to stuff like glass (which covered the dreaded cracked display of my rocket not too long ago).

If you were in Canada i probably have at least half of that stuff sitting in a box from when they fixed my bike after i got hit total bill came to almost $15,000, but the mechanic was an idiot, the accident was on the right side from the exhaust back, bike never went down, bill should have only been about $6,000 CAD but the mechanic was replacing everything, whether it had anything to do with the accident or not, mirrors, foot pegs, levers, handlebars, bar ends, side covers, seat, front signal lights, exhaust, they gave me the old parts back, down side i can't trade the bike in now, dealerships just see that much in replaced parts and won't touch it, still debating suing the dealership over this.

in your original post before you edited, you asked for how much will it be.

Guys I put together my own kit for drop protection from R&G parts and sent a pictue of the results to R&G. Text me at 304-281-2409 for pictures. Les

Awesome, please keep us posted if this becomes a standard offering from R&G Racing.

Don’t know the rules/laws in your country, but I wouldn’t accept a check directly from the insurance company. I make them pay the shop when the repairs are done and inspected by myself and everyone else. It drives folks crazy, but I’m no expert in repair and managing the costs.

Aside from that, it’s good to know that you are ok.
